What this covers
This website and the services it describes are operated by Make The Brands LLC, which does business as Make The Brands. This policy describes how it handles information from this website, and the categories of client information it works with under an engagement.
It covers this website, the managed services, Brand Intel Console (BIC), which is our own commerce intelligence and operating system, the marketplace integrations a client authorizes, and authorized access to Amazon Ads. The English site at makethebrands.com is covered here. The Chinese site carries its own notice.
Information from this website
We collect the information you choose to submit through the MTB Score form: your name, a work email address, your company or brand, an Amazon listing URL or ASIN, your role, a monthly Amazon revenue range, a monthly Amazon advertising spend range, your main operating problem, and any optional detail you add. If you write to us by email, we hold what you send.
Submissions are sent by email to our mailbox through a transactional email provider. Each submission is given a reference number so we can match it to the conversation that follows. The form uses a hidden anti-spam field to filter automated submissions.
If you arrive from an advertisement, we read the click identifier and campaign parameters carried in the link and hold them in your browser for the current session only. They are cleared when you close the tab. If you submit the form, those values are sent with it so we can tell which campaign an enquiry came from. Aggregate, privacy-preserving visit statistics may also be collected by our hosting provider.
Advertising and measurement
We use Google Tag Manager to load advertising and measurement tags on this site. These tags set cookies in your browser and report your visit to Google Analytics, which we use to understand how the site is used, and to the advertising platforms we run campaigns on, currently Google Ads and Meta. Some of these cookies last beyond the current session.
Those platforms use this information to measure which campaigns bring people here and to show our advertising to people who have visited the site. You can limit this through your browser cookie settings and through the ad preference controls each platform provides.
We also use OpenAI for server-side measurement of conversions from ChatGPT advertising. When an eligible MTB Score enquiry is successfully delivered, we may send OpenAI an advertising click reference and limited conversion-event metadata needed to attribute that conversion. We do not send the MTB Score form fields, customer identifiers, or Brand Intel Console Amazon Ads Information to OpenAI for this measurement.
That metadata is the type of event, its time, the address of the page it happened on and an identifier made for that one event. It is sent from our server. No OpenAI script runs in your browser, and it sets no cookie.
How we use website information
Submitted information is used to reply to your enquiry, to prepare your pre-connection MTB Score and to assess whether an engagement is a fit. We do not sell or rent it. We do not share what you submit through the form with third parties for their own marketing. The advertising tags described above are separate and are covered in that section.
Client account and operating information
When a client engages us to operate its Amazon business, we work with information from and about that business. The categories are:
- Amazon marketplace and account data.
- Amazon advertising data, described under Amazon Ads Information below.
- Data from the Amazon integrations a client authorizes. Which of them apply depends on the engagement and on the access available to us at the time. They can include the Amazon Ads API, the Selling Partner API, Amazon Marketing Cloud, the Amazon Ads MCP and related authorized integrations.
- Inventory and operational data.
- Private business information the client provides, including cost of goods, freight, duties, prep and landed costs.
This information is used to operate the authorized service, to make and govern the decisions the service exists for, to carry them out where authorized, and to record and report what happened. The record of actions and outcomes is part of the service.
Amazon Ads Information
Amazon Ads Information is the information we receive about a client's Amazon advertising through access that the client has authorized. Nothing is accessed before the client authorizes it, and the client can revoke that authorization at any time.
With that authorization, Brand Intel Console may access the advertising information the service needs:
- Advertising account, profile, campaign, ad group and ad identifiers.
- Campaign, targeting, keyword and budget settings.
- Search term and query information.
- Performance and reporting information, such as impressions, clicks, spend, orders and sales attributed to advertising.
We use it for that client's reporting, analysis, diagnostics and decision support, and for the management of its advertising that the client has authorized. It is used for the client it belongs to and for no other client.
- Access is limited to the people and systems with a legitimate need for the authorized service.
- It is not sold, rented or published.
- It is not syndicated or distributed to unrelated third parties.
- It is not disclosed to unrelated third parties. A service provider may handle it only where Amazon's requirements allow, including any approval Amazon requires of a service provider, under a confidentiality obligation and solely to operate the integration.
- Amazon Ads Information is not combined with customer-provided or external data unless that use is permitted by Amazon and any required prior written approval has been obtained.
Brand Intel Console currently supports Amazon advertising analysis, diagnostics, recommendations and decision support. It does not currently send automated bid, budget, campaign, targeting, keyword, negative-keyword or creative changes through the Amazon Ads API. Any future execution capability will be introduced only when technically implemented, appropriately authorized and permitted.

Amazon access
Access to a client's Amazon systems happens only after the client authorizes it. We do not ask for, accept or store a client's Amazon account password: access is granted through Amazon's own authorization, under the permissions the service requires. The client keeps ownership and control of the account and its data, and can revoke the authorization at any time.
Boundaries
- We do not sell or rent client information or the information of a client's customers.
- We do not publish a client's private Amazon data.
- Each client's information is held and used for that client alone. It is not combined with, or used for, another client.
- A client's private cost information is not sent to Amazon because the account is connected. Operating the account through the connection does not hand Amazon the client's costs.
- The providers that support this website, listed under Subprocessors, measure and deliver the website. They do not receive client account information or Amazon Ads Information.
AI and model providers
Brand Intel Console does not currently provide Amazon Ads Information to external AI or model providers. Any future processing of Amazon Ads Information by an external AI or model provider would occur only where permitted under Amazon's requirements and after any required Amazon approval, including applicable Amazon-approved Service Provider requirements, has been satisfied. This does not limit our use of AI for creative production, research, website measurement, or other workflows that do not involve Amazon Ads Information.
For a client's other information, an AI or model provider may be used only where that is authorized and permitted for the information and the workflow, and those boundaries are set in the governing agreement.
Retention, deletion and disconnection
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of business correspondence, and are deleted on request.
Client information is kept for as long as the service, and the legal, security and contractual requirements that apply to it, require. When a client disconnects an Amazon system or an engagement ends, the authorization is revoked, and the stored client information, Amazon Ads Information included, is retained, returned or deleted according to the governing agreement, Amazon's requirements and the law that applies.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email privacy@makethebrands.com. The rights that apply to you depend on where you are, and we handle a request under the law that applies to it.
